CLASS POLICIES/FEES/SCHEDULES

TUITION/FEES: There is a yearly non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 for one student and $10.00 for each additional student in the family. Registration can be made in person, by mail, or online, and must be completed before the first day of class. If registering online you will be required to come to the office to sign the form. Tuition must be paid in full prior to class admittance. TEDCO reserves the right to cancel or combine classes. There are no refunds for classes missed, however, make ups are allowed within the month that the class was missed. A fee of $25.00 will be assessed for all returned checks.

PLACEMENT: Class placement is based on age, ability, previous experience and subject to instructor’s approval.

ATTIRE: Depending on the class, comfortable clothing and appropriate dance attire is required. It is very important for the instructor to be able to observe bodylines. For safety purposes, long hair must be secured away, no hanging jewelry. At the time of registration, don’t forget to ask for the correct attire for your class or call us at 773-517-0195.

CONDUCT: Proper behavior is expected from everyone. All students should arrive on time, appropriately dressed, and ready to dance. Silence is Golden…that means NO TALKING during instruction unless you have a question. Attentiveness during the class is expected at all times. No gum, candy, or food allowed on the dance floor. Dancers may take water bottles into the studio, but they must also be carried out!

PUNCTUALITY: Students are expected to be on time for class, in order to ensure that they are properly warmed up for the class and so as not to disrupt the other students. Anyone who is more than 10 minutes late may be asked to observe that class at the discretion of the instructor, unless prior notification was made to that particular instructor. Once class has begun, No one must leave the studio area without the instructor’s permission. 

ATTENDANCE: Regular attendance and participation is fundamental to insure student's acquisition of muscle development and required skills. If you are unable to attend class, be sure to notify the particular Instructor. Once a production schedule begins, a student may not miss more than a total of three classes without a valid explanation, otherwise they will not perform in the end of the year concert. While no refunds will be given, students are invited to take a make up class within the month of the absence. Instructor discretion will be used in situations involving choreography and placement.

COSTUMES: All students will be required to pay for their production costumes and it’s theirs to keep. Costume fees can add up quickly, especially with students taking multiple classes. Parents will receive a bill informing them of the cost for the costumes, three months before the performance.

OBSERVATION: Parents may observe classes upon special request only. These arrangements must be made in advance with the instructor. 

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: Generally, we will follow the Chicago Public School decision. However, you still need to call to confirm as there may be exceptions.
